Gord Dowie's Secret Path project reflects a part of Canadian history that's often ignored. It offers a glimpse into the injustices experienced by generations of indigenous families. This project is opening the door to discussion and acknowledgement in the hopes that we can start walking the long road to reconciliation. 23% of Canada's federal prison population is made up of First Nations, Métis, and Inuits. There is a general lack of support, education, and consideration for this group which ultimately leads them to feel marginalized and neglected.
